DeutschMDF is short for medium density fiberboard. It’s a good choice for home improvement projects and can be found at many lumberyards and home centers. MDF can be purchased in a variety of lengths and thicknesses, but the most common is in the 4 x 8 ft range. You can also find full sheets cut into smaller sections at no charge. MDF has one major drawback compared to other wood types: you can’t refinish it.
Thankfully, there are a lot of products out there that make it easy to tackle your next project.
